A cycle tour of about 2 hours' length leads through the Loisach nature reserve and next to Lake Starnberg, spoiling you with incomparable views. You start the 30-kilometre route from Wolfratshausen S-Bahn station and cycle along the Loisach. In Achmühle you turn right in the direction of Degerndorf, where after a short steep forest path you are greeted by a wide panoramic view as far as the Alps.
Now you pass Sonderham until you turn left towards Ambach. Across meadows and fields you catch the first glance of the wonderful Lake Starnberg. Here you have earned a refreshing break on the cool lakeshore before you start your return journey via Ambach, Holzhausen and Münsing along the well-maintained cycle paths to Wolfratshausen.
Cycle to Bad Tölz - from Wolfratshausen, the 50-kilometre cycle tour offers a good 3.5 hours of entertainment. The medium-difficulty route rewards with wonderful views and the highlight: a magnificent Alpine panorama with the Zugspitze.
Coming from the train station, you first cycle along the Föhrenwald until you change to the Isar cycle path at the end of the town. Here you follow the gentle curves and enjoy the picturesque view of the Isar reservoir. In Bad Tölz, small parks on the banks of the Isar are ideal for a relaxing break to recharge your batteries for the journey home along the Isar riverbank.
On this relaxing tour you follow the historic rafts along the Isar to Munich on well-surfaced paths. Once there, the S-Bahn S7 is ready to take you comfortably back from the state capital. Beginners and young families cover the good 30-kilometre route in about 2 hours.
From the train station in Wolfratshausen, the route first goes over the Isar bridge into the Pupplinger Au. The Isar cycle path leads along the renaturalised riverbank and through quiet woodland to Hellabrunn Zoo. Over the Thalkirchner bridge you get on the right track to Mittersendling station, where you start the return journey by S-Bahn. Alternatively, use the cycle paths to Wolfratshausen on the opposite bank of the Isar for a sporty extension of your tour.
A round trip to the Bibisee is a delight for young and old, because of the great views and flat, comfortable routes. Plan on about 2 hours for the 30-kilometre tour. From the S-Bahn station, follow the disused tracks to the Loisach-Isar canal.
The Isar cycle path now takes you along shady forest paths to Geretsried. From here, continue along Sankt-Hubertus-Straße to the Bibisee, which invites you to swim and splash around in sunny weather. You then cycle via Oberherrnhausen and Beuerberg to the Loisach, where you return to Wolfratshausen along the cycle paths there, next to the Loisach-Isar Canal.
